Yesterday it was a beautiful and sunny day....around 19 deg c. We pciked up Mom and took her for a ride out to the St. Francois Xavier area and we stopped at the Assiniboine Conservatory for a late lunch. I had a Bison burger and I am still burping buffalo. Mom seemed to enjoy the outing.
This AM Catherine and I went to a meeting for retired teachers. They were discussing the COLA clause in the pension. It seems that the funding is not there to pass on the entire cost of living allowance to the pensions. I think the CPI this year was 2.4 % and all the teachers got was a .4% increase and its getting worse. They are having a rally about it in front of the Legislature on the 27th Oct. between 12:30 and 1:30 PM. I hope that Gary and Carol will come and support it........since they will be here. bwahaha
Catherine went to see her Doctor today and the results of her blood tests show an increase in liver enzymes and she wants to redo some of the tests before she prescribes Lipitor or Crestor....the wonder drugs.
Well, 9 days until Gary gets here. Peace
