BOMBERS 44 BC 23

It was, simply put, a hall of fame game from a hall of famer. Oh, and a 44-23 Bombers victory, although it's unfortunate the brilliance of the performance was on a stage devoid of suspense, at least in terms of playoff ramifications.
Still, what amazing grace. And to think it all began with a burst of anger. "I don't cuss, but I was about to go over there (to the coaches) and say something," Stegall reported, while the paint on his masterpiece was still drying. "The play before my first touchdown (late in the second quarter) I was running down the field wide open, too, and I came back and said, 'Look for me.' "
Boy, did Glenn ever.
The next play: A 54-yard strike that pulled the Bombers into a 14-14 tie. Then a 10-yard TD strike to Milt late in the half that propelled Winnipeg into a 21-16 lead.
Nothing special, right? Stegall with two touchdown receptions. So elevated is the man's game that a pair of first half TDs -- he's got 128 in his career for goodness sake -- hardly raises an eyebrow.
