Bombers bomb but Kiwis bear fruit
It was Football night in Hamilton as the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (3 and 6) met the Hamilton Tiger-cats (0 and 8) in a clash of the titans. Due to the lacklustre play of both team's defenses, the offences went crazy. the final score was 41 for Hamilton to 39 for the Bombers.....boooooo. Hamilton got its first win Friday at Winnipeg's expense. Well Glenn shone as a quarterback and Stegall shone as a reciever and then Brazell made 200 yards catching passes (Brazell was aquired from the Ti-cats recently in a trade so he had something to prove). Good game to watch actually and your team cannot always win, right?
We came in early Friday afternoon just to watch the game at 6pm on TSN. We have been invited to Pat and Paul's place for dinner Saturday night (tonight), so we had to come in anyways. We will head back out tomorrow and then have to come in again on Tuesday AM to take Mom to get her new choppers. Then tuesday night we have a humanist dinner meeting to attend.
I got a letter from Bernice Petersen on friday. She gave her return address as :

Well, this tells me that she has the Ousey sense of humour. She also states that her daughter asked her if the Kiwis have and accent.....she replies, "No siree, we are the ones with the accents!" Bernice also said in the letter that once they finish their 'mission' of spreading the Mormon gospel, they will be travelling to the West Coast of the USA and then to Arizona and Dallas, Texas to visit their kids. When they are in Dallas they would like to cut over to Oklahoma to meet with Jack. They would bring their son Sandy from Dallas because he is very pro family and I guess that they think Jack is pro family too. Aftwards they are planning to hop up to Chicago area to visit cousins and they want to either drive or fly to Winnipeg to meet us. It would be nice to meet them as long as they park their crosses outside the door. Maybe they can come to a Humanist meeting with me! heehee She sent some pictures too. One of her husband the minister, in his temple clothes, and one of her and one of Jack Gruschow who lives in NZ and is our 5th cousin. He lives at Apt #8 - 10 Deere St. in Rotorua, NZ. I have been in touch via email with Jack on several occaisions, he is interested in geneology too.
