Still out at Grimli-on-the-lake.  We plan on going into Winnipeg tomorrow.   We have to shop and do laundry and Tuesday we have to take Mom in to see her false-teethologist to be fitted for new teeth...that will take the better part of Tuesday afternoon.  We have a big bash to go to on Saturday and it is in Silver Bay on the Winnipeg River, so that it on the other side of the lake from Grimli, so it doesn't make sense to go from here so we will probably not be back until Sunday.   We would like to bring Mom out for a couple of days and that will be on Sunday...if she wants.
We had Paul and Pat out here on Saturday, they came about noon and went back about 9pm.  We took a long walk along the beachfront and then hit several stores, including Tergeson's place, which has been here over 100 years and is THE place to shop in Grimli.   We stopped at the Liquor Mart to get even more coolers and then headed back to the trailer for a steak dinner.  The steaks were large and thick but the 'grill-to-go' was up to the task and all were done perfectly.  The dinner was complete with Carol's green goop for desert and a couple of bottles of wine.
Tonight we had Brian and Roz (a couple from the old 'E' or Echo section) and Peter and Sue (our new neighbours from 'A' or Alpha section) over for some drinky-poos and some risqué talk, like, "That guy with the two dogs that bark all the time, we call him 'two-dog Mike', got a new gazebo." "Yeah, I saw it, it's pretty big." "Yeah, it's 10' x 14' and he's got a platform underneath." "Whoa!" "Wanna beer?"
Loads of fun.
There is a show on CBC news about war photographers...gruesome pictures.  Must be hard to be driven to take pictures in an effort to stop war and have to live with those images.  How many pictures will it take?   One more??
Also on the news if this woman who is camped in front of Bush's house in Crawford,  Texas.   She blames him for her son's death in  Iraq.  Of course, Bush will not even talk to her.  Where was the Weapons of Mass Destruction?   Seven more US Marines killed on the weekend by 'insurgents'....What did Bush say BRING IT ON.  A lot of bravado from someone who avoided the Vietnam War with the help of his Daddy.
Oh well, Peace.
