ME fail English? ...that's unpossible.
Well, first it was unprecidented rainfalls. And now, all the water left standing in the fields has caused a huge outbreak of mosquitoes. They have been watching for the mosquitoes that carry the west nile virus and they are now turning up in the traps. The province has ordered fogging the city with malathion. But really the mosquitoes have not been a problem here in St. Vital until just the last week or so.
Now I hope that they get the little buggers real good. There wasnèt many mossies last year at all but in 2003 they were bad, then they fogged and poof they were all gone.....really POOF!
Anywho, I got a letter this week that informed us the the REH-FIT centre's TEMPORARY facility, the Court Sports (next door) has been closed due to flood damage. When we came back fro our cruise, we tried the Court Sports facility but found it wanting....veeeeery wanting, so we put our membership on hold for three months. That cost us about $100.00 to do but they said "sorry, the court Sports facility is a good one and that they were satified that people would should be happy to work out there". The place was musty, showers did not work, the A/C did not work and the place was in a general state of well, uncleanliness. So now they are doing what they should have done LOOONNGG before this...they are allowing people to put their memberships on hold until the new facility is open AT NO CHARGE. We will be getting a refund. We will continue to pay our memberships but the extra 3 or 4 months will be tacked on to the end of our 'yearly commitment'.
Yesterday, Catherine decided that we should pop over to the local Wally World and do a bit of shopping....and Oh yes, we could pop into the Old Navy store that just opened up at the St. Vital shopping centre. Anyhow, as I was pulling out of my parking spot at Wally World a woman driving an older chevrolet was passing very close behind me.....and I hit her car. It was amazing, I couldn't so that again if I tried. I still had the trailer hitch on my car and as I pulled out I hit her at the front tire....right on the hubcap. Boink! There was virtually no damage and after I assertained that she was not shaken up we looked at the cars and decided that since there was no damage we needn't bother exchanging info. Exciting. (I lead a pretty uneventful life!)
MMMMM lunch time, a blogna sandwich? Fabulous, DAHLING! My life is getting more exciting already! Later, PEACE.
