Monday.   Last night we had the mother of all storms.  Well, not scads of rain but thunder and lightening that you would not believe.  The kind of lightening that lights up the whole, big prairie sky and the kind of thunder that makes your ass pucker.   The thunder cracks feel as if they are going right through you, your body shakes.   The lightening happens and then you wait........KABOOM, RUMBLE, RUMBLE, KABOOM! ?  We developed a leak at the front of the trailer and a leak at the TV antennae control.  These will have to be caulked.   I see some trees fell during the storm and the camp owner is going around and cutting them up.  Today it is just cool (22 deg c) and overcast....a nice day to sit and read, snuggle and eat some Old Dutch BBQ chips, drink coffee, or do some crosswords.  

 

Yesterday we had a yellow-bellied sapsucker come and rat-a-tat-tat on our metal utensil holder which is strung between two trees.   I gather that it is a territorial/mating thing that causes this and he  did this several times throughout the day.
