The thermometer reads 35 +- deg c....now, that is approaching Oklahoma hot (or maybe Nebraska). There is a nice breeze coming in the windows, ahhhh. I understand that there is a heat wave going on in the south with temps over 100 degs f. Some 21 people have died of the heat in Arizona, mostly the poor and homeless.
Gary has gone camping too, he's out at Maryhill (?) the forces campsite not very far from Victoria They like it there, it's close enough that they can run into the
city to check the e-mail and update the blog. For us Gimli is an hour and a quarter drive. We are
here for a couple of days. It's nice to be here when most others have buggered off. We will go back Tuesday because (1) we have to watch 'Big Brother' Tues nite, and (2) pull a shift at the Museum
Weds morn, and (3) we have to watch 'Big Brother' on Thursday nite. There is a garage sale in Gimli next Saturday and Catherine is intent on brining a pile o' crap out here to sell. Good idea except I gotta sit with her to price the crap. No matter what price you put on there, these 'bargain hunters' want to pay less....."What 25 cents for a watch?? USED??....I only got a dime!....how about it?" Why I oughta.......
I understand from Mom that Jack is buying a house in Tishomingo. I hope he plans for an extra room as a guest room!
I talked to Gary the other day and he tells me that he is coming alone to Winnipeg for a visit in the fall, Sept.? Oct.? Not sure. I am looking forward to it. Seems he was here last year at the same time (Oct.) and helped me close the trailer for the winter....gotta find that drain for the hot water tank! It would be nice if Jack could be out at the same time. How about it Jackaroo?
Well, it looks as though the next couple of days will be sunny and around 22 - 23 deg c (+-75 deg f) that will be nice. AS LONG AS THERE IS NO MORE RAIN!
