where am I; Peter Pan; Junos; gas
I got up early to make a 9:45 am appointment with the endoXXX er, gynoxxx er, doctor and much to my chagrin found that the appointment happened last Tuesday....I missed it by two days. The worst of it all is that Catherine reminded me that I had an appointment on Tuesday and I, of course, told her that I was absolutely sure that the appointment was on Thursday. Well, I got the 'T' right! ...give me a break. I should have someone stamp these things on my forehead and then people can direct me to my appointments at all times...something like "Hi, my name is Dennis and I have an appointment on Tuesday March 22nd, please direct me to it!" This works especially well along with the phrase "Help, I've fallen and I can't get up."
I see that Gary is back in Victoria. I wonder if he won any money at the casino on the Port Angeles ferry? Well, back in his familiar surroundings he will be spending time catching up with all his cronies and kids.
I am just working on the Humanist newsletter today while Catherine has got a job for the afternoon subbing. She is not looking forward to it seeing as though its the last afternoon of the last day before the Easter break and the kids are bound to be all rangy.
My cold is getting better but Catherine was not feeling well yesterday so we didn't make it for our workout . Sooooo, we stayed home and watched 'Finding Neverland' (just released on DVD). It was good but Catherine got a bigger kick out of it than me. Its all about J.M. Barry and his play from 1903 called "Peter Pan".
We had some snow last night, about 2 cms. It is cool today but it should warm up by the weekend and the damn stuff should melt. I hope it is all gone by the Junos on April 3rd. It probably won't be though and that will open things up for more simple minded guffaws ...especially from the centre of the universe TO types. Yeah, I get touchy.......
I see that they have taken the cost of the cruise out of my Visa, I could hear the sizzling from here! Oh well, looking forward to it. BY the way, Gary, do you have any room for us from May 31st to June 5th??? I know we discussed it but I don't think that I ever thought to ask. Looking forward to that part too! Better go pack.
