They walked in...40 or so teenagers from the Leipzig area of Eastern Germany. In very broken english, they asked me to tour them around the museum. None of them spoke much english. I could not even get anyone with some english skills to translate what I was saying. The only German phrases I knew were "gutenmorgen tut jedermann sprechen engish in dieser Gruppe Jugendlichen. Woher sind Sie und was haben Sie in Winnipeg bis jetzt getan?", and "Haben sie Pommes-Frites in Deutschland, in dem Sie leben? Wie über Würstchen?", and "Deutschland über allen", which did not seem quite appropriate, since the war has been over for 60 years or so. Oh yes, don't mention the war! As luck would have it, the first airplane we encountered was the Messerschmitt, then the Tiger-schmitt, then the Junkers.....hey not bad, these planes are bi-lingual! I told them that Adolph Hitler used the Ju52 Junkers as his personal plane in the 30's......no reaction, Adolph who? I quickly made a save by blurting out Shania Twain!...they liked that. We made our way around the museum quickly after that.
I had an appointment with my GP, Craig Hildahl this morning at 8:15am and did not get into see him until 9:15am. I was like the 3rd patient of the morning and he was already an hour behind! sheeeesh. Anyhow, my health is well in hand, especially my sugar levels, according to my last tests. My creatinine levels are holding steady(>225) but are still a bit high(norm=<150) and that is a function (or not a function) of my kidneys. While there, I asked Hildahl if he could start seeing Momsy again as a patient. Momsy has been after me to do this since her Doctor left private practice a couple of months ago. Hildahl does not take any new patients but since he remebered Momsy, he agreed to take her back. GOOD, now to make an appointment for her, after looking at several dates into the future, the secretary came accross an appointment made for Momsy this afternoon at 2pm! Gosh, I wonder how that happened....couldst be Momsy has been making calls to the Doctor's office??? She denies it but then, it sure wasn't me! I tell ya, if Momsy can get three people to do the same thing she is doing only then she can be satified something will be done. sheeeesh#2. Anyhow after 'splainin it to Momsy over the phone she decides she don't wanna go to see Hildahl today anywho! Back into the office I goes and changes the appointment to Saturday @2:30pm.......WE'LL DRIVE HER. Nuf said....sheesh #3

Well the weather is bootifull today nice and sunshiny with a temp of about 9 degs C ( about 50 deg F) and it looks like it will be about the same for the next 3 or four days. the snow is melting like mad! Just right for the JUNOS....be sure to check the Junos out on Sunday night!
