Here is a picture of a an oil by Buckley Ousey. A guy named Robert Winter bought it in England. Here is the contents of his e-mail:

Dear Sir, This may just be a coincedence, but I have been trying to research a late
19th century ( Victorian) artist/painter who signed his/her works B. Ousey.....mainly of marine paintings and landscapes. One or two have come up for sale in the UK recently, which I really like, but I have not been able to locate a history of this artist. On searches your name keeps coming up with your own connections to the Arts. Do you have any knowledge of B. Ousey?..probably not...but I thought it worth asking!! If you would like to see a jpeg of one of his paintings I will forward it to you. Many thanks,

Robert Winter Wendover Buckinghamshire England.

This e-mail was actually sent to Jack, after Robert Winter used the internet to search the name and found Jack the artist listed.

Last weekend was kind of shitty. The weather was wet and cool. We got our car back from the repair shop on Friday but then our water heater sprung a leak and we had to get it replaced 'tout de suite'. Anyhow, we went to the campground on Saturday only and spent Sunday cutting grass and moping around the house. Today I went with the Creative Retirement group to 'Riel House' and the 'St. Boniface Museum' Both were very interesting. Did you know that whenever the English (Canadians) won a skirmish they called it a battle and whenever the Metis won a skirmish they called it a massacre. Anyhow lots to be learned about Louis Riel and the Metis culture....must start now...must start now...nap first...then start.

Keep blogging....Hey even Jack blogged this weekend!
