Hello. Its Wednesday. The temperature is about 10 deg C. Thats -40 deg on the optical pyrometer scale.
Gary's Odyssey........
Hard to keep up with those guys....galavanting around the warm climes of Arizona. First they are in Cocopuffs and now they are in the BLT's. What next, or do they have any reservations? Then they make their way to Los Vegas....Spanish for 'Lost Wages'...anyhow, thats what my Dad used to say. A couple of weeks spent in the Mirage Parking lot and all the associated gambling should be quite bracing! 10-1 that dog doesn't make it to the doggie walk!......ur on!!!
Paul Martin ....oops, I did it again...
The poor liberals have gotten themselves into a hole that will be hard to get out of but, don't underestimate the power of the Canadian public to quickly forget. The public will forgive too, if Martin looks like he is really doing something to clean this thing up and (with apologies to Belinda.com) the fact that there is no real alternative to the Liberals helps too. I think that he still will call an election for the spring, if he dosn't he could be seen as running scared. It all started with that damn referendumb in Quebec. Just like trying to placate a whining child, the Liberals threw (and I mean threw) money to Quebec after the close separation vote. They even filtered money through third parties to cover it up. This is not the first scandal and it sure won't be the last. The Canadian public is realistic in the fact that it expects there to be some scandals taking place in Government circles ...seems that there is no escaping it, but they still fare better than the scandal-ridden big businesses.
ya got to wonder though, Paul Martin was the Finance Minister and he was the senior member from Quebec...he must have known something rotten was going on. You know what they say 'Time Wounds all Heels'.
