Never thought of it before but Gary wears stripes and plaid when he goes golfing! And he is expanding, too!
A Bird, er...Bush in the Bush...
I wonder how that rat Double-yah Bush is going to get out of getting blamed for taking his country on a pre-emptive strike (in the US they call it a war) against Iraq. No matter how you interpret it , Iraq had no WMD and did not possess the ability to strike at the US within 45 minutes! AND, as far as aiding terrorists, Osama and Saddam were enemies. Besides, 14 of the hijackers of Sept. 11, 2001 got their pilot training in the US! Maybe the US intelligence got it wrong but they said that the evidence was not solid and Double-yah should not have made the jump in logic (bad choice of words whenyou talk about Double-yah). It will be interesting to see who is put on the investigating board.
Riel School Division....
The RSD decided to fill the temporary teaching position, that Catherine applied for, with another 'temp' teacher within the division. The position was probably already filled but as with many agencies (especially the Goverment) the position had to be advertized to fulfil some sortof criteria. This just gets people's hopes up and dashes them, because they did not even bother with interviews...how rude! Poor Catherine, she kinda had her heart set on it, and she would have enjoyed getting back to teaching if only for a couple of months.
H.A.M. bones....
Tonite is the executive meeting for HAM. Its at the new venue, the Viscount-Gort. I just got a call from one of the members who said that he could no longer afford to come to the meetings because the price of the meal is going to $15.95 plus tax and tip. The last place we were at, we paid $15.00 including tax and tip. but the venue was unsuitable (one of the members was accosted at the Jan. meeting) and the food was crappy. Then, I heard form several people who were glad that we have a new venue because even though they were members, they didn't like the old venue. AND, they had been to the new venue recently and had really enjoyed the food. You can't win.... and you can't please all the people all the time. I think that some people are just plain cheap, old and crabby. Bah Humbug! I'm just old and crabby!
Well, better go and get ready for the meeting...Quando omni flunkis moritati; I'm a man but I can change...I guess.
