The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity.

Hellllooooo. We are experiencing quite a heat-wave. It has been above freezing for a week or so and knock on wood...thunk, thunk, it may go up to ....listen...it may go up to....6 degrees c on Friday. Let the bells ring out and the banners fly....feast your eyes on it BOY, I say BOY...6 Deg C. spring is here the grass is riz I wonder where the dam grass iz?
Sunday Catherine and I went to the Travel and Golf show at the Convention Centre. We manned the Manitoba South Museum booth. It included the Dugald costume museum, the Austin steam tractor museum, and others including The Western Canada Aviation Museum. They had all kinds of golf courses represented there and all kinds of other leisure activities such as 'Festival Du Voyageur' RV"S, Krevo pools, Various towns and villages. There was also a band called "Men with Kilts", a great young band that played some good Celtic favourites. One golf course was handing out golf clubs to kids....a golf club each...now that is how you promote golfing ot kids! Maybe curling clubs could learn a lesson here...declining numbers of curlers might call for handing out curling rocks!!!....nah, maybe brooms though! Anyhow, we had a ball and took turns cruising the show and entering many draws. monday
Monday was my last Adobe photoshop class. Still looking for Photoshop 7 or 8. And maybe a copy of 'dreamweaver' because I am taking web design starting this Thursday. Anybody, Anybody? aaannnyyybbbooodddyyy! Sprint
I just got a letter from Sprint Canada. Seems that they have 'taken over' the long distance plan I had with "Talk'n Save". Oh well that means that I can call anywhere, anytime in NA for 6 cents a minute....as opposed to 7.9 cents a minute. what will I do with the savings? ...go to Vagas?
I see that by Gary's blog they are leaving for las Vegas at the end of Feb. I think that they will be heading home for mid March...I think that was their plan. Unless of course they win big in Vegas! Of course they could lose!...I heard of a guy who went to Vegas in a $20,000 car and came back in a $80,000 ...........bus.
Saturday afternoon we wen to see "Tuesdays with Morrie" . The play was based on a true story. The main character (Morrie) is a sociology prof who teaches a young guy about life and then they part for several years. They get reunited by chance about 16 years later but by that time Morrie has ALS. It is very touching. Morrie was a nice guy...he was a Hugger...like me. I, too, believe that people should touch more and a good hug is way to do it. A good hug and magic happens...you don't even have to say a word. Well, life is what happens to you while you are making plans. Catherine and I were getting pretty choked up because Catherine's brother Gordie died of ALS, but thankfully they went easy at the end of the play and chose not to show him dying. Everyone was sniffling at the end.
We cheered ourselves up by going with Al & Janine and Pat & Paul to a Bistro. The Inferno Bistro. A new place in St. Boniface. The food was very good, We all tried something different and spent much time sampling others dishes. I had a filet mignon that was to die for and for an appy Catherine and I had escargot...you know snails in a wonderful sauce. I think that the sauces are what made it.....the mussels in sauce were good and Catherine's salmon fettucini was so tasty. The ambience was definitely Francais and the talk was loud and full of joie de vivre! Mostly french and I thought that they just talked mostly with their hands! It all reminded me of my business trips to Montreal and the fine french bistros in "Old Montreal"! We finished off with gateau infused with whipping cream and covered with a fine chocolate sauce......and 3 bouteilles du vin extrodinaire later we were ready to head back to our place for some cut-throat Triviallis Pursuitis. The dog was happy to see us.
well, better go ........KEEP ON BLOGGING...or er some of you TRY BLOGGING!
May the force be with youse.
