`SECTION 1. Marriage in the United States shall consist only of the union of a man and a woman. Neither this Constitution or the constitution of any State, nor state or federal law, shall be construed to require that marital status or the legal incidents thereof be conferred upon unmarried couples or groups.'.
Here is the amendment proposed by Mrs. Musgrave R-Col (et al) concerning the change to the US constitution. Looks like...read it carefully now...that all rights and conditions pertaining to marriage will be conferred upon unions of men and women only......does not include 'civil unions'. Dubya does it again. Pandering to the religious right just to get re-elected. All of the people that are opposed to gay marriage say...well, just call it a civil union and not a marriage and, everything will be fine. Lying Bas****s
