How to weather the weather...
It's darn cool here in the Peg...minus 26 deg c, now and going down to minus 30 deg c. But that is better than Saskatoon where it is going down to -40 deg c. That's balls in one hand and a brass monkey in the other! It is supposed to get warmer by the weekend...we'll see.
Aviation Museum's mantle of responsibility...
"The mantle of responsibility weighs heavy on a man who is responsible...mantle-wise." Grover Cleveland..or was that just Grover? anyways, I assumed the mantle of responsibility today, when I was asked to look after the visitor services (including the Gift Shop). It was real tough to carry that burden, but carry it I did...we had almost a dozen people going through all day and I sold 2 chocolate bars and
a used (nearly new) book for a dollar. It's a good thing that I'm only voluteering because otherwise I'd feel bad and probably get laid off to boot! Well January is a slow month around these parts. I can't wait until the spring when it gets busier. Teahers start burning out then and are looking for places to bring their students. I shall, if ever asked again, wear the mantle of responsibility with pleasure...avec plasir, as they say in France. Seeing as though I brought in $2.98 in gift shop sales (I confess that .99 cents was a chocolate bar that I bought) I should think that they would be remiss if they did not recognize my enormous sales talents!
New Thermostat for Tore-ass...
Darn that Ford! Now the Thermostat blew because the anti-freeze got low, because of the hole in the side of the anti-freeze filler container, causing the anti-freeze to get low and then blowing out the damn thermostat. It's hard to drive 'cause the cold air is blowing up my pant legs.....and speaking of freezing the balls off a brass monkey. Luckily though, it is so cold that the engine will not over-heat but rather cools right off when the engine fan kicks in....just as it is starting to get warm.
Arizony or bust...I'll take Arizony for a Thousand , Alex!...
What state starts with an 'A' and ends in a 'Y'???? Right...ARIZONY! Gary and Carol are in Arizona at some posh trailer park, where they are soaking up the sun and Gary will golf, when his back is not so sore. But it sounds like they are having so much fun that they are staying for another couple of weeks...may as well, cause their house is rented, eh.
