Today started with a blanket of snow on the ground, what a lovely sight. It is pretty well all gone now. It is only 5:00 PM but it is getting dark already, because of the time change.
Margot and Joel have left and, in fact, we just got a call from Margot saying that they arrived safe and sound back in Vancouver. It was a great visit and the 10 days just went by in a flash. We miss them already! Suzie misses them too!
Mother is still in Victoria hospital in observation. She is still in very good spirits and has managed to keep her sense of humour, kidding the staff and all. When we went today, Shirley Hogue was there for a visit. According to the nurses, she will be going to St. Boniface tomorrow to get her pace-maker. She will return back to Victoria hospital and the observation unit after the procedure. She will spend another night at Victoria hospital and, if all goes well, she will be paroled....er, released Tuesday. We have asked her if she wants to some to stay at our house for a few days after she gets out, but of course it is up to her. She is missing her crones at the manor. Apparently the pace-maker is a variable speed one.....if she has a mind to she can turn it up to hi and do a good impression of Michael Flately in 'Lord of The Dance'.....just kidding. Mother did say to the nurse that perhaps a pace-maker would give her longevity....you know, maybe she will live to 100. She is pretty 'with it' for a gal of 85 and this will indeed make her quality of life much better, so who knows?
Here is a halloween joke: "A Skeleton goes into a bar and says to the bartender, give me three beers and a mop."
