Today is Sunday and the first order of the day is the NYT crossword puzzle.
It is another beautiful sunny day, the wind is calm and the temperature is around 17 deg. c. The front yard is not bad but the backyard is filled with leaves. Poor Suzie doesn't like the leaves too much. I don't think she likes the sound they make when she walks through them.
Last night we went to the Mb. Humanist meeting. The president asked me if I would consider running for the executive and I said that I would. There are some old curmugeons there that remind me of the two old guys in the balcony on the "Muppet Show" (I think their names were Waldorf and Astoria). Anyhow, these two guys seem to be critical of every suggestion, especially when it comes to spending money! You know the type, I am sure that there are guys like this in every group.....so tight, that they sqeeze a nickel so hard that the beaver shits. Anyhow, it may be a challenge. I think the best policy will be to decide how little the group wants to spend and then find nothing in that price range and work your way up......only hard if you are doing it but if you are just Waldorf and Astoria, you can just be critical.
Today, Catherine is cleaning like mad and she made me promise to go over to Safeway and rent a rug cleaner, so better get doing that.

AND....Tomorrow is another day.........
