Today is overcast and cool at about 5 deg c.
I spoke with Gary this morning from Virginia (whose motto is "Sic Semper Tyrannis"or "Don't screw with me or I'll sic a dinosaur on your ass!"). They are having fun looking through caves and such. I can't believe that they passed up going to Washington. I would love to see the Smithsonian Museum.
I went to Mother's apartment today and fed the fish, turned off her humidifier, picked up her mail. I also told Elizabeth and Johanne (the homemaker), and the office about the situation. I picked up some fruit and a copy of "People" and "The National Enquirer" for her. When I got to the hospital, I found out that the appointment for her pace-maker implant will be at 10:30 AM on Wednesday. She is still in very good spirits and is looking forward to the time when she can get out of there.
Looks like the flu hit early this year. It is almost an epidemic in Edmonton and it has hit here as well. In Quebec they are calling it a possible pandemic...but then they were always ones to exagerate. However, it would be smart to get a flu shot.
