This AM we woke up to 10 cm of wet snow. Too early, go away until Chrismas.
After our workout, Catherine and I went to see Mom at the hospital. She is still in observation. There are no available beds in the hospital because of a localized flu outbreak. She is still quite cheerful in spite of the situation. I think that she is getting better care in observation than she would be getting on any of the floors anyway. It may be a bit noisy but when she takes out her hearing aids, she can't hear a damn thing anyway. She will not be getting her pacemaker until Wednesday, for whatever reason, I just don't know. As always, I will be patient until Wednesday but I may kick up some dust if it doesn't happen then. She has books to read, puzzles to do, flowers to look at (from Margot & Joel), a little bear to hug and keep her company (from us), so she is content to be there for a few more days. Tomorrow, I promised to look in on her fish "Oscar" and see if he is still alive. The provincial 'Homecare' people called me to see if she will require any additional help upon her release, and I suggested that they call the hospital and assess the situation with them. Anyhow, like I say, she can come and spend a few days recouperating with us, if she wants to. She is not so good that I can't take her at cribbage the odd game or two.
